Cultivating the Power to Cut Off Mindfully

Suffering is universal, and if we really think about it, we all know what makes us suffer. Often we are stuck to it, and we feel that we have no power—no courage—to cut off from the roots of our suffering.

But we can cultivate the spiritual power to transform our cravings, our anger, our frustration, our suffering and our despair!  We can transform all of our afflictions, because like everything else in the universe, they are impermanent.

When we are able to cut off from suffering, we become free people.  In this freedom, we find happiness.

How To Stick With Your Exercise Plan

If you find that you have fallen away from your exercise plan for a day, a week, even a month, do not judge yourself harshly as a failure. Just start again. Everyday is a new day, an opportunity for a new beginning. You can begin anew every moment.

Mindful Movements: Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect our body and mind. The mindful movement and breathing in yoga allows us the space to nurture ourselves. Even very simple movements, in tandem with mindful breathing, release stress, invite tranquility and strengthen our core being.
