Building A Virtual Plum Village With Mindfulness

This sunny video documents the Thay’s monks and nuns laying the foundation for a “VIRTUAL” monastery. They start with an old kitchen at Plum Village, Thay’s real world monastery in France. By the vidoe’s end, they have transformed the kitchen into a high-tech project center where they will create a new interactive Plum Village website.

Their joy filled, purposeful and mindful planning, building and finishing of this website production space is inspiring.
Songs and laughter accompany plastering, painting and laying floorboards, toward the goal of creating a website where visitors feel like they are actually visiting and immersed in the teachings of Plum Village. Thich Nhat Hanh, surrounded by the Plum Village Sangha, cuts the red ribbon to celebrate the project’s grand opening. Viewing this 15 minute segment makes me feel light hearted and thankful. I look forward to the new website and the peace and joy it will bring to many people around the world. ENJOY!
